Wysall Chamber Organ

This organ was built in the 19th Century, and was restored and modernised in 1930 by Roger Yates when moved to Wysall Methodist Church in Nottinghamshire, including the addition of a pedalboard and Pedal Bourdon 16.

Our plans are to restore this organ to a Chamber Organ, with removal of the pedal, and an extension down to GG.  In addition a divided stop will be added, Sesquialtera/Cornet.

The full specification of this instrument is as follows:
The case will be new, based on a 1779 John Avery case recently restored by our colleagues at Goetze & Gwynne for Ponsonby Methodist Church, Auckland, New Zealand.  This case is illustrated right.

The new case will be of Mahogany, keyboards and drawstops will be of Rosewood.

A publicity document about our proposed work on this organ can be downloaded here.
