Work is virtually complete on a thorough overhaul and cleaning of the organ at Edgeborough School, Frensham, Surrey. We have completely dismantled the instrument, to clean all parts, check all electrics and repair these where necessary, and install new console lighting.
The pipes have been washed and cleaned, speech regulated, and the switching system is being thoroughly overhauled. In addition, we have filled a window at the back of the organ in order to better control the temperature of the interior of the organ.
Pipework has now been reinstalled and rough tuned, and shortly we will begin work on bring the organ fully into tune, lowering the overall pitch to A=440Hz.
